0 points: Car is not homemade i.e. purchased kit was used:
car is disqualified from race.

75 points: Final displacement is 7
m or greater.
65 points: Final displacement is 6
m.
55 points: Final displacement is 5
m.
45 points: Final displacement is 4
m.
35 points: Final displacement is 3
m.
25 points: Final displacement is 2
m.
15 points: Final displacement is 1
m.
0 points: Final displacement is
less than 1 m.
V. MOUSETRAP CAR
PHYSICS ANALYSIS REPORT (35 pts possible)
28-35 points: Demonstrates excellent conceptual
understanding of the physics principles behind a mousetrap car. Applies this
understanding in conducting an excellent, meaningful investigation.
20-27 points: Demonstrates good conceptual understanding of
the physics principles behind a mousetrap car. Applies this understanding in
conducting a good investigation.
11-19 points: Demonstrates minimal understanding of physics
principles behind a mousetrap car. Conducts a basic investigation.
0-10 points: Demonstrates poor conceptual understanding of
the physics principles behind a mousetrap car. Does not fully apply this
understanding in conducting a meaningful investigation.
